National Zoological Park, Delhi–Explore the rich Flora and Fauna

The National Zoological Park of Delhi established in the year 1959 is reckoned as one of the finest and largest zoos in Asia. It was designed by major Weinman of Sri Lanka and Carl Hagenbeck of West Germany.

The Flora The flora populace consists of there are as many as 5,591 trees including the hanging deep yellow Alamtas Hedges, the drought resistant Lahura trees and the native Delhi Bistendu. There are some rare ones like Baobab trees also called Kalpavriksha, which are only four in number in entire Delhi, three of them being in the zoo.
